Chapter 5. System image snapshots

In this chapter we introduce the point-of-sale (POS) plug-in for Tivoli Provisioning Manager for OS Deployment. and describe its essential functionality. Using the deployment environment outlined in previous chapters as our starting point, we describe and demonstrate the procedure for installing the plug-in.

We introduce each of the capabilities provided by the plug-in, discuss each one’s usefulness for provisioning IBM POS terminals and demonstrate how we used it in our mock production environment.
