SECTION 9—OPTIONS

Installing the Draft Bumper

WARNING

DO NOT use if draft bumper extends past rear wheels. If draft bumper extends past the rear wheels, contact dealer.

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 9.4.

NOTE: The draft bumper can not be installed if the tow bar is installed.

1.Remove the four set screws on each mounting bracket.

2.Position the mounting brackets around the handcycle rear frame.

NOTE: Make sure that the draft bumper is centered on the handcycle rear frame.

3.Using four set screws for each mounting bracket, secure the mounting brackets to the handcycle rear frame.

Installing the Safety Flag

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 9.5.

1. Mount safety flag in holder secured to back tube on bike frame.

Using Safety Helmet

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 9.6.

1.Secure helmet using the chin strap.

2.Ensure proper fit.
