NOTE

If you have connected the unit to a TV offering T-V Link via a 21-pin SCART cable, the unit starts “TV-linked Setup” (see page 14) even if you have selected “AUTO SET.”

Once you have performed Auto Setup correctly, all the stored TV stations and their Guide Program numbers will be kept in memory and the unit will not perform Auto Setup again.

If a power failure occurs, set the clock manually (see page 69).

If you move to a different area, or if a new station starts broadcasting in your area, perform tuner setting manually (see page 70).

NOTES

•Where no TV station transmits Programme Delivery Control (PDC) signals, the unit cannot set up the clock time and Guide Program numbers automatically.

•The unit memorizes all detected stations even if their signals are very weak. You can delete these stations with poor picture quality later manually (see “To delete a station” on page 71).

•If a power failure occurs, or if you turn off the power while Auto Setup is in progress, Auto Setup will be interrupted. If this happens, turn off the power and try again from the beginning.

•Auto Setup may fail or stored information may be incorrect if received signals are weak.

•If you press any button on the unit or on the remote control while Auto Setup is in progress, it will be cancelled.
