Select a buttonhole template (_). Pull back the guide plate catch (_), and slide the template into the guide plate ® to get the desired buttonhole. Release the catch to lock the template into place. Insert the gear(_of the base plate into the template guide slot (_so that the guide block(_)fits into the center of the guide slot.
