automatica[ly at the beginning of the seam, and at the end.

Raise the presser foot. Remove the fabric, draw the

threads to the back and cut using the thread cutter.

 

The threads are cut the proper length for starting

 

the next seam.

Sewing on Heavy Fabrics

Pressing the black button on Foot A (before lowering) locks it in a horizontal position. This ensures even feeding at the beginning of seams and helps when sewing many layers of fabric. When you reach a point of increased thickness, lower the needle and raise the foot. Press in the black button, then lower the foot and

continue sewing. It releases automatically after a few stitches.
