Getting Better Results from Your Printer
Becausemonitors and printers u se different color systems, colors on your
computer screen may not always match those in your documents or prints. To
achievemore predictable results in y ourprinted documents:
!Improvethe quality of your paper. Copier paper may not offer the same
resultsas c oated paper or paper made especially for inkjet printers.
!Adjusty our printer software settings.
!Usef resh ink cartridges. Do not use ink cartridges beyond their life
expectancy.
Rememberthe following tips for printing your pictures:
!For best results, print your pictures no larger than 3 x 5 inches (7.6 x
12.7 cm).
!Color printing takes more time than black and white. More complex
picturesincrease the printing and drying time.
!Color printing is more memory intensive than black and white. If your
computer gives you an insufficient memory message, you may need to
closesome applications, change some settings, or add additional
memory.
!Colorprints may not photocopy as clearly as black and white. If you plan
tophotocopy your pictures, consider printing the document in grayscale.
This settingis usually changed fromthe Print dialog box.
!Resizingthe picture to as mallersize or printing the picture on glossy
papermay increase the quality of the print.
!Toimprove the quality of your prints, you may want to print your pictures
onKODAK Inkjet Snapshot Paper (Snapshot Paper). Snapshot Paper is
madeto work with most inkjetprinters to give you clearer,crisper, and
moredetailed images on yourprints.
