Starting a Video Conference
Beforeyou initiatea video conference call, you must ask the person you are
callingf or theirIP address. I f theydo not know how to find it, you cant ell them
howseethe following section, Finding Your IP Addresson page 39.
4When the video conference is over,right-click the MICROSOFT NetMeeting
iconto completely exit from the application. If you do not exit the application,
MICROSOFTNetMeeting will run in the background and make the camera
unavailablefor use by other applications.
Ifseveral people a re involvedin the video conference, only two people at a
timemay see each other.
For furtherinformation on using MICROSOFT NetMeeting or establishing a
videoconference call, consult the Help menu available from the application
orvisit MICROSOFTs website at www.microsoft.com.
1ClickStart Videoto view your own live
video.
Ifyour video image does not appear, select
Videoon the Tools pull-down menu. Then
selectDetach My Video and repeat step 1.
Ifyour video s till doesnot appear, reboot
thecomputerandgobacktostep1.
2In the Address bar,enter the IP address of
thepersonyouarecalling.
3ClickPlace Call.
Theperson youa re calling must have the
MICROSOFTNetMeeting application open
andmust select Accept w hen called. This
willstart t he videoc onference.
