Never turn off the computer when the hard disk drive light
is on. This light indicates that the computer is copying data to or from the hard disk. If you interrupt this process,. you can lose data.
Never attempt to open the hard disk drive. The disk itself is enclosed in a sealed container to protect it from dust.
Inserting and Removing DiskettesTo insert a diskette into the drive, hold it with the label facing up and the read/write slot leading into the drive, as shown below.

Slide the diskette into the slot until it is all the way in. Then turn the drive latch down to lock it in a vertical position. This keeps the diskette in place and enables the read/write heads in the diskette drive to access the diskette.
