20 Using Push to Talk
Note: If the contact is unavailable, a message appears on
your phone screen.
4. Speak while pressing the walkie-talkie button.
5. Release the walkie-talkie button when finished speaking. This allows the
called party to reply.
6. Wait for the “OK to Talk” tone, then press the walkie-talkie button
again to speak.
7. To end the PTT call, press . If the other party ends the call, no action is
required. “Call Ended” appears.
Making a group barge call
You can make a PTT group call from the PTT Contacts list.
Start at the home screen.
1. Press the walkie-talkie button.
-or-
Select Menu → Push to Talk.
2. Scroll through the list and highlight the group contact you want to call.
