Non-recommended Paper

RCAUTION:

1Do not use aluminum foil, carbon paper, or similar conductive paper to avoid a fire or equipment failure.

Important

Do not use any of the following kinds of paper or a fault might occur.

Thermal fax paper

Art paper

Aluminum foil

Carbon paper

Conductive paper

Colored OHP transparencies

Paper with perforations

Paper that has already been copied or printed onto.

Note

Do not use the following kinds of paper or a misfeed might occur.

Bent, folded, or creased paper

Torn paper

Slippery paper

Perforated paper

Rough paper

Thin paper that has low stiffness

Paper coated with a lot of paper dust

Copying onto rough grain paper can result in a blurred copy image and lim- ited solid fill.

Paper Storage

Note

When storing paper, the following precautions should always be followed:

Do not store paper where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.

Avoid storing paper in humid (greater than 70%) areas.

Store on a flat surface.

Keep open reams of paper in the package and store as you would unopened paper. Store on a flat surface.

Under high or low extremes of temperature/humidity, store paper in a vinyl bag.
