-Image Rotation

 

 

If the direction in which your original is set (landscape or portrait) is different

 

from the paper you are copying onto, this function rotates the original image by

 

90° and fits it on the copy paper. This function works when the following func-

 

tions are selected. Auto paper select, Auto Reduce/Enlarge, See ⇒ P.37 “Select-

 

ing Copy Paper” and ⇒ P.40 “Auto Reduce/Enlarge”.

Limitation

You cannot use the Image Rotation function with Auto Paper Select if the Auto Tray Switching setting in the User Tools is set to “On (No Rotate)” or “Off”. See “Auto Tray Switching” in the System Settings manual.

You cannot use the Image Rotation function when enlarging onto B4 or A3 size paper. In this case, set your original in the landscape direction.

You cannot use the Image Rotation function when “Top Slant” or “Top 2” is

selected for stapling or if the Punch function is selected. If you try, a “Check paper size and direction” message is displayed. See ⇒ P.49 “Staple” and ⇒ P.52 “Punch”.
