4.Remove the retainer bracket form the failing drive and install it on the new drive.

5.Install the optical drive into the bay until it snaps into position.

6.Connect the signal and power cables to the drive.

7.To complete the installation, go to “Replacing the cover and connecting the cables” on page 135.

Removing and replacing the diskette drive

1.Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 116.

2.Disconnect the signal and power cables from the rear of the diskette drive.
