schedule. Seven pre-labeled Meal Slots that define how the Software divides the day. You can set the actual clock times for each Meal Slot on the Schedule Tab of the Patient Setup screen.

selected patient. The patient name that appears in the Patient field at the top of most OneTouch® DMS screens. Unless noted otherwise, most OneTouch® DMS functions will affect this particular patient record. You can select a different patient by clicking the arrow next to the box. This turns the box into a drop-down menu.

serial port. Refers to the communications port that connects your PC to a serial device. These may include your mouse controller, your printer, and the OneTouchInterface Cable (which connects to the meter or other serial devices).

Standard Day Report. A OneTouch® DMS Report that displays an X-Y graph of glucose readings over a 24-hour day.

Statistics Panel. A summary statistics panel of glucose readings compiled over the selected Date Range. The panel appears on several OneTouch® DMS Reports.

Summary Report. A OneTouch® DMS Report that includes portions of several Reports for a comprehensive overview of diabetes health status.

target range. The range of glucose readings that represent guidelines for “good” control.

Tabs. Refers to the way the OneTouch® DMS screens organize selection categories.

Tool Bar. An area below the Menu Bar that contains a series of icons that you can click on to perform many OneTouch® DMS functions.

unit of measurement. Refers to either mg/dL or mmol/L. Glucose values as well as other test results are reported in either mg/dL or mmol/L units of measure. Different units of measure are standard in different countries or regions. The glucose unit of measure appears on the meter display with a test result. OneTouch® DMS can automatically convert readings for display without affecting the setting in the meter.

Unsuitable results. Records transferred from a device that are invalid.

Unsupported results. Valid result types that are either not currently shown in OneTouch® DMS reports or include more information than expected.
