MACFiltering Configuration

The MACFiltering Conf iguration screen allows you to filter out specif ied

MAC addresses. Any node that presents a security risk or is malfunction-

ing can be filtered from this Switch. Security filtering can be used to drop

all the traffic from a host device based on a specified MAC address.

To add a MAC address, use Add. To delete an address, highlight it with the

cursor and press Enter. Select Applyto make changes. Select OK to return

to the previous panel. Select Prev Page to view the previous page. Select

Next Pageto view the next page. To display a specific page, set the page

number in the Page field and then press Apply.

Security Menu

The Security Menu is used to configure security options.

• MACFiltering Configuration - Security f iltering can be used to drop all

the traffic from a host device based on a specified MAC address. Traffic

with either a source or destination address listed in the MAC Filtering

Configuration table will be filtered.

• Security Mode - Enable/disable the Learning mode here.

• IPFiltering Conf iguration - Configures IP filtering settings. (Only avail-

able when the Switch is in multilayer mode)

Select OK to return to the previous panel.
