Port Management Tab - Port Setup

From this screen, you can configure the connection status for the WAN port, such as Priority, Speed, Duplex and Auto Negotiation, as well as Priority and VLAN Group for LAN ports. The Speed and Duplex will always Auto Negotiate on LAN ports.

Basic Per Port Config.

This screen is divided by the LAN ports and the WAN ports. The port information and modifications are displayed according to the following columns.

LAN

Port ID: This signifies which port is being configured.

Interface: This column shows the type of port you are configuring.

Disable: Checking this box will disable the corresponding port.

Priority: Select High or Normal for Port-based QoS (Quality of Service). Port-based QoS is used to maximize network performance and this setting allows you to prioritize performance on four LAN ports.

VLAN: For each LAN port, a VLAN (a Virtual LAN, or network within your network) can be established. Up to four VLANs can be established.

WAN

Port ID: This signifies which port is being configured.

Interface: This column shows the type of WAN port you are configuring, either the RJ-45 port for Internet connection or the SFP port for 10/100 networking.

Disable: Checking this box will disable the corresponding port.

Speed: This allows you to manually configure the per-port speed as 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1000Mbps. The SFP interface can only be configured at 100Mbps.

Duplex: This configures the port to half-duplex or full-duplex throughput.
