Set up speakers		around items indicate the settings.

This section provides the setup methods of speaker systems other than the 7.1-channel system (with surround back speakers).

For the setup methods of the 7.1-channel system with surround back speakers, see “Set up speakers (Audyssey® Auto Setup)” (vpage 6) of “Simple version”.

First install and connect the speakers to this unit.

Simple version

1	Set up
	the remote control unit

nn Set up the operation mode

Press AMP to set the remote control unit to amplifier operation mode.

Press AMP

2 Connect the setup microphone.

When the setup microphone is connected, the following screen is displayed.

Use ui to select “Amp Assign”.

4 Use o p to select the configuration of the connected speakers.

			Set when using 7.1-channel
	Normal
			(Front/Center/Surround/Surround
			Back or Front height/Subwoofer)
			speakers.
			Set for connecting the speakers
	ZONE2
			for ZONE2 to the SURR. BACK/
			AMP ASSIGN terminals.
			Set for connecting a tweeter of
	SPKR-C
			a front speaker to the SURR.
			BACK/AMP ASSIGN terminals
			and a woofer of the front speaker
			to the FRONT A terminals.
5		Set up “F. Height”
	Press	u to select “F. Height”.
			Set to measure the front height
	Measure
			speakers.
			Set not to measure the front
	Skip
			height speakers.

6 Set up “Front.Sp.”

Use ui to select “Front Sp.” and then press o p to select a speaker.

ASelect this to use front speaker A.

BSelect this to use front speaker B.

A+B Select this to use front speakers A and B simultaneously.

NOTE

If “Mesure” is selected in step 5, select “A”. If “B” is selected, the “F.Height” measurement cannot be performed.

“Preparation ” step 5.

NOTE

After performing Audyssey Auto Setup, do not change the speaker connections or subwoofer volume. In event of a change, perform Audyssey Auto Setup again.
