MITSUBISHI LCD FLAT PANEL HDTV LIMITED WARRANTY
MITSUBISHI DIGITAL ELECTRONICS AMERICA , INC. (“MDEA”) warrant s to the original purchase r of this LCD Flat Panel HDT V that if purchased
from an authorized MITSUBISHI Au dio/Video Deale r, should it prove defective by reason of im proper workmanship an d/or material:
a. Parts. All parts ( except any software incorp orated into this HDTV are war ranted for a period of one year f rom the date of the original purc hase
at retail. We will repair or replace, a t our option, any defective par t without charge for the par t. Parts used for replac ement may be replaced with
those of like kind and quality and m ay be new or remanufactured. Pa rts used for replaceme nt are warranted for the rema inder of the original
warranty period.
b. Embedded Soft ware. MDEA warrants tha t all software incorpor ated into this HDTV (the “Emb edded Software”) wi ll perform in accordan ce with
the functional description o f Embedded Software in al l material respects, but M DEA does not warrant that th e Embedded Software is e rror-free.
MDEA also does not warrant tha t the Embedded Software w ill be compatible under IEEE 1394 AV/C and H AVi software standards wi th products
produced by any other manufactu rer. The warranty contained i n this section shall contin ue for a period of one year, from the date of th e original
purchase from the dealer. If, after pr ompt notice within the warran ty period, MDEA determ ines that the Embedded Sof tware has failed to perfo rm in
accordance with such functi onal description in all mate rial respects and if suc h failure is not due to accident, m isuse, modification or mi sapplication
of the Embedded Software, the n MDEA shall modify or re place the nonconforming Em bedded Software at no ch arge to you, which at MDEA’s sole
discretion may be fulfilled by mea ns of modification or repla cement software cont ained on a replacement me mory card for Customer in stallation.
The foregoing shall be MDEA’s sole obli gation to you under this limited wa rranty. All rights under this l imited warranty on the Embe dded Software
also subject to your complianc e with the terms of the Software L icense Agreement appl icable to this HDTV, and this limi ted warranty on the
Embedded Software shall b e null and void if the Embedded Sof tware is modified or cha nged in any manner except as sp ecifically authorized by
MDEA.
c. Labor. For certain items tha t are designed to be replace d by the consumer, including (but n ot limited to) some Embedded S oftware, the
consumer is solely respon sible for any replacement la bor. For all other parts, we will prov ide the labor for a warranty r epair by an authorized
MITSUBISHI service center w ithout charge for one year fro m the original date of purchas e at retail.
d. Notice. To obtain warranty se rvice, you must notify an au thorized MITSUBISHI ser vice center of any defect withi n the applicable warrant y time
period.

BEFORE REQUESTING SERVI CE, please review the T V owner’s guide to insu re proper install ation and correct cu stomer

control adjustmen t. If the problem per sists, please arr ange for warranty se rvice.

1. TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE :
a. Contact your nearest autho rized MITSUBISHI servi ce center whose name and add ress can be obtained from you r MITSUBISHI dealer,
by writing to the address provided b elow, calling MDEA at 800-3 32-2119, or using the support feature of our website a t www.Mitsubishi-tv.com.
b. Warranty service will be p rovided in your home or, if required, a t an authorized service s hop, provided that your televisi on is located
within the geographic territo ry customarily covered by a n authorized MITSUBISHI se rvice center. If not, you must eithe r deliver your television to an
authorized service locat ion at your own expense, or pay for any tr avel and/or transpor tation costs the servic e center may charge to and from you
home. Actual service labo r will be provided without cha rge.
c. Proof of purchase date from an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer is required when requesting warranty service. Present your sales receipt
or other document which establishes proof and date of purchase. THE RETURN OF THE OWNER REGISTRATION CARD IS NOT A CONDITION OF
WARRANTY COVERAGE. However, please return the Owner Registration Card so that we can contact you should a question of safety arise which
could affect you.
2. THIS LIMITED WARRAN TY DOES NOT COVER:
a. Up to .01% pixel outages (small dot pictur e elements that are dark or i ncorrectly illuminate d).
b. Cosmetic damage or any other da mage where such damage is ca used by unauthorized modi fication, alteration, rep airs to or service of
the product by anyone other than an aut horized
MITSUBISHI service center ; physical abuse to or misuse of t he product (or any product d amaged by excessive physical o r electrical stress) ; any
products that have had a serial num ber or any part thereof al tered, defaced or removed; p roduct use in any manner con trary to the Owner’s Guide;
freight damage; or any damage c aused by acts of God or other fac tors beyond the reasonable c ontrol of MDEA, such as powe r surge damage
caused by electrical system or d amages caused by use of thir d party mounting bracke ts or stands. This limited war ranty also excludes ser vice
calls where no defect in the produ ct covered under this warra nty is found, service ca lls related to unsatisfacto ry audio or visual recep tion or signal
unless caused by a defect in the pr oduct that is covered under th is limited warranty, all costs, ex penses or any other damage s arising from product
installation, removal from or re -installation into custo m installations or on wall mou ntings, or set-ups, any adjust ments of user controls (in cluding
contrast, brightness, col or, tint, fine tuning, sharpnes s), other adjustment ne cessary to prepare the u nit for display or use, connec tion with any
external audio receiver, antenna , cable or satellite systems, or s ervice of products pur chased or serviced ou tside the U.S.A. Please co nsult the
operating instructions co ntained in the Owner’s Guide fu rnished with the product fo r information regarding u ser controls.
3. ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY N OT PROVIDED HEREIN, AND ANY REMEDY WHICH, B UT FOR THIS PROVISION, MIGHT ARISE BY IM PLICATION
OR OPERATION OF LAW, IS HEREBY EXCLUDED AND DISCL AIMED. THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF M ERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FO R
ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPR ESSLY LIMITED TO A TERM OF ONE YEAR.
4. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL MDEA BE L IABLE TO PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSO N FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER A RISING OUT OF BREACH OF WARR ANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE.
5. Some states do not allow limitati ons on how long an implied warr anty lasts, or the exclusion o r limitation of incidental , special, or consequen tial
damages, so the above limitation s or exclusions may not apply to you.
6. This limited warranty give s you specific legal right s, and you may also have other rights wh ich vary from state to state.
In no event shall Mitsubishi have any lia bility, including without limi tation, for general, cons equential, incidental , or special damages for lo ss,
destruction, damage or cor ruption of recorded data , media or software resul ting from use of this televisio n, or cost of recovery of lost dat a, media
or software therefore.
