Appendix B: High Definition Input Connection Compatibility

Component-1 and Component-2 Inputs

These inputs are compatible with component video signals from standard DVD players and other equipment sending a standard NTSC component video signal (480i). These inputs are also compatible with newer DVD players sending 480p and are compatible with signals from digital TV receivers that send 1080i component video signals. This also applies to next generation video game consoles sending 480p or 1080i.
