Pen

CL900 supports touch with a pen as well as your finger. You may find the pen handy when you want to write a quick email or take notes. The pen is particularly effective for precise data entry and navigation.

The pen is a battery-powered electronic digitizer with a pressure-sensitive tip and function button. When pressed, the function button displays a right-click context menu. The pen comes with a AAAA battery and pen tether.

CL900 pen

If your CL900 did not come with a pen, you can purchase one from the Motion Computing Accessories page. For more information on using the pen, see “Using touch” on page 19.

NOTE: The CL900 pen is officially called the CL900 Digitizer Pen on the Motion Computing website. For simplicity, this book refers to it simply as the CL900 pen or pen.

CL900 SlateMate

CL900 SlateMate is a productivity module integrated with the CL900. The first configuration available contains a magnetic stripe reader (MSR) and barcode scanner (BCS).
