Assigning Alert Types

Different alert types can be assigned to the inboxes that receive your messages. This allows you to identify by sound the type of message you are receiving. An alert type can be set for each of the alert modes. If an audible alert mode (Loud or Soft) is selected from the Home screen, the alert you assigned on the Set Alert Screen will notify you of incoming messages.

To select an alert type:

1.Select from the menu wheel.

2.Press up or down to highlight the inbox for which

you are assigning an alert type, then select .

3.Select to bypass the Edit Inbox screen.

4.Press left or right to scroll through the alert options.

Press to move between alert mode fields.

TIP Press to sample the alert.

5.Select to accept the changes and return to the Message Area screen.

Addresses

The PageWriter 2000X smart pager contains an address book for storing the address information of each person or group you might want to contact. You can include the type of pager and its PIN, an email address, a fax number, home and work phone numbers, and even miscellaneous notes for each address entry. When viewing address entries, the status bar notifies you if there is additional information not displayed on the screen.

TIP To view the additional data, press Press down to scroll through the rest of the information.
