To use your phone’s handsfree speaker, press the speakerphone key (A). For key location, see page 2.

Note: The handsfree speaker won’t work when your phone is connected to a car kit or headset. With a Bluetooth headset press the right soft key (+) (Menu), scroll to Handsfree Off. Press the right soft key (+) (Menu) and scroll to Speakerphone On.

lock & unlock phone

You can manually lock your phone to prevent

accidental key presses.

To lock your phone, press the home key (X) and

then the space bar. Your left soft key becomes Unlock.

To unlock your phone, press the left soft key (-) (Unlock). Then, enter your password and press Unlock again. If you have not set a password, press the left soft key (-) (Unlock) and then *.

To keep others from using your phone, change your

password:

1From the home screen, press the left soft key (-) (Start).

2Use the thumb wheel to scroll to Settings and press the thumb wheel or center select key (s) to

select it.

3Scroll to Security and press the center select key (s).

4Scroll to Device Lock and press the center select key (s).

5Select Prompt if device unused for, and select the time you want the phone to be inactive before automatically locking.
