time & date

Your service provider usually sets the time and date on your phone. However, if you change time zones while your phone is roaming, you might need to change your clock manually. To change it manually:

1From the home screen, press the left soft key (-) (Start).

2Use the thumb wheel to scroll to Settings and press the thumb wheel or center select key (s) to

select it.

3Scroll to Clock & Alarm and press the center select key (s).

4Select Date and Time and press the center select key (s).

5Use the navigation key (S) to scroll to Time Zone, Date, and Time to edit them.

Tip: Update your time zone when you travel to make sure your phone’s calendar events appear at the right time.

6Press the left soft key (-) (Done) to save the time and date settings.

You can specify the date and time style by changing the regional settings. To find Regional Settings, select Regional Settings from the Settings screen.

backlight

To save battery life, your backlight turns off when you’re not using your phone. The backlight turns back on when you press a key.

To set how long your phone waits before the backlight turns off:

1From the home screen, press the left soft key (-) (Start).
