5Enter a device name for your phone and click “Set Up.”

When you finish the wizard, Windows Mobile Device Center synchronizes your phone automatically. Outlook e-mail messages and other information appear on your phone after synchronization.

set up ActiveSync® on Windows XP

The Getting Started Disc that comes with your phone contains Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 or later.

site also lists the system requirements.

To install ActiveSync:

1Insert the Getting Started Disc into the disc drive on your computer.

2Click “Setup and Installation.”

3Select the ActiveSync and click “Install.”

4Read the license terms and click “Accept.”

5When installation is complete, click “Done.”

6On the Getting Started with Windows Mobile screen, click “Close.”

To set up synchronization in ActiveSync:

1Connect your phone to your computer. The Synchronization Setup Wizard automatically starts and guides you to create a synchronization relationship. Click “Next” to proceed.

2To synchronize your phone with your computer, clear the Synchronize directly with a server running Microsoft Exchange Server check box then click “Next.”

3Select the items that you want to synchronize and then click “Next.”
