Cleaning

WARNING

Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server switch unit.

Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the server switch unit. Failure to follow this instruction may cause an electric shock or fire as well as malfunctions of the unit.

Disconnect the AC cord before cleaning the server switch unit.

Make sure to power off the server and disconnect the AC cord from a power outlet before cleaning. Touching any connectors with the server's power being on or with the AC cord being connected to a power source may cause an electric shock or a fire due to short circuit.

Also, disconnect the AC cord from the outlet occasionally and clean the plug with a dry cloth. Heat will be generated if condensation is formed on a dusty plug, which may cause a fire.

CAUTION

Make sure to complete cable and AC cord installations.

Always install the AC cord and an interface cable firmly. An incomplete installation may cause a contact failure, resulting in smoking or fire.

During Operation

CAUTION

Do not touch the server switch unit when it thunders.

Disconnect the AC cord from the outlet when a thunderstorm is approaching. If it starts thundering before you disconnect the AC cord, do not touch any part of the server switch unit including cables. Failure to follow this warning may cause a fire or an electric shock.

Do not use a cellular phone or pager around the server switch unit.

Turn off the cellular phone or pager around the server switch unit. Radio interference may cause malfunctions of the server switch unit.

Keep any animal (pet) away from the server switch unit.

Pet's discharges or fur may enter the server switch unit and cause a fire or electric shock.
