Choose the role played by the depth-of-field preview button. The options available are the same as for Assign Fn button (0 242). The default setting is Preview.

f4: Assign AE-L/AF-L Button

Choose the role played by the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton.

	Option	Description
B	AE/AF	Focus and exposure lock while the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton is
	lock	pressed.
C onlyAE lock		Exposure locks while the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton is pressed.
E(Hold)AE lock		Exposure locks when the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton is pressed,
		and remains locked until the button is pressed a second
		time or the standby timer expires.
F onlyAF lock		Focus locks while the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton is pressed.
A AF-ON		The AAE-L/AF-Lbutton initiates autofocus. The shutter-
		release button can not be used to focus.

Press the AAE-L/AF-Lbutton to lock flash value (built-in

rFV lock flash and compatible optional flash units only, 0 149, 294). Press again to cancel FV lock.

None Pressing the button has no effect.
