Common Radio Features

Scan

The scan feature allows you to monitor traffic on different channels by scanning a preprogrammed list of channels. Your radio can have up to 32 different scan lists. These lists must be preprogrammed by a qualified radio technician.

•To view your radio’s scan lists, see “View a List” on page 39.

•To change your radio’s scan lists, see “Edit a Scan List” on page 40.

Turn Scan On or Off

Use the Menu

1Press uto find SCAN.

2Press D, E, or F directly below SCAN. You see the current scan state.

The scan status symbol is displayed when scan is on.

3Press D, E, or F directly below ON or OFF.

You can press h or the PTT button to exit scan and return to the home display without changing the scan state.

Place the Scan switch in the

Scan On or Scan Off

position. The scan status T symbol is displayed when

scan is on.
