Replacing the ink cart ridges

Your machine is equippe d with an ink dot counter that aut omatically

monitors the ink level i n each colour cartridge. When the co unter

detects an ink cartr idge is running out of ink, the mach ine will notify

you with a message on the LCD.

The LCD shows you which co lour cartridges are low or empty. Be

sure to follow the LCD prompts so you replace the colour cartridges

in the appropriate orde r.

When the ink cartridges are running low, you must use the Ink

key to begin the cartri dge replacement (Steps 1 to 3). If the i nk

is empty, skip to Step 3.

Press Ink.

Press

to select Replace Ink.

Press Menu/Set.

Lift the scanner cover.

Push the appropriat e coloured ink cartridge cov ers and remove

the used ink cartridg e.

If one or more ink cartridges are empty, for example Black, the

LCD shows Pls Open Cover.
