If the ink cartr idge you installed is not a brand new one, please

be sure to press 2.

—OR—

For each new cartridge, press 1 on the dial pad to automatical ly

reset the ink dot counter for that colour. (The ink dot counter

enables the machine to not ify you when a colour is running low.)

The machine will enter a cleaning cycle for approximately 3

minutes for each replaced cartridge. The LCD alternately shows

Cleaning and Please Wait.

When the machine comp letes the cleaning cycle, the LCD

returns to Standb y mode condition.

WARNING

If ink gets in your ey es, irrigate them with w ater immediately and call

a doctor if you are concerned.

Caution

■DO NOT remove ink cart ridges if you do not need to replace

them. If you do s o, it may reduce the ink quantity and the printe r

will not know the quantity of ink left in the cartr idge.

■DO NOT shake the ink cartridges, because the ink may spill when

you take off the sealing tape.

■If ink stains your bod y or clothing, wash with soap or det ergent

immediately.

■If you install an ink car tridge in the wrong colour posit ion, you

must clean the pr int head several times before you start print ing

(after correcting the cartridge installation) because the colours

were mixed.

■Once you open an ink cartridge, install it in the machine and use

it up within si x months of installati on. Use unopened ink

cartridges by the expiration date written on the cartridge

package.
