Pause Allows you to place a 3.5 second d elay in the dialling
sequence stored on Speed-Dial numbers. Press Redial/Pause
as many times as needed for longer pauses.
PhotoCapture Center™ (MFC-3820CN only) Allows you to print
digital photos from y our digital camera at high resolution for phot o
quality printing.
Photo resolution A resolution setting th at uses varying shades of
gray for the bes t representation of p hotographs.
Polling The process of a fax machine calling another fax machine
to retrieve waiting fax messages.
Pulse A form of rotary dialli ng on a telephone line.
Quick Dial List A listing of names and numbers sto red in
Speed-Dial memory, in numerical order.
Real Time Transmissio n When memory is full, you can send faxes
in real time.
Remaining jobs You can check which jobs are waiting in memory
and cancel jobs indivi dually.
Remote Activation Allows you to transf er a fax call, answere d at an
external or extension p hone, to the machine.
Remote Deactivat ion (Fax/Tel mode only) When the machi ne
answers a voice call, it pseudo/double-rings. You can pick up the call
at an extension phone by pressing this code (# 5 1).
Remote Access Code Your ow n four-digit code (--- ) that a llows
you to call and access your machine from a remote location.
Remote Retrieval A ccess The ability to access your machine
remotely from a touch tone phone.
Resolution The number of vertical and horizontal lines pe r inch.
