Scan to Card (MFC-3820 CN only) You can scan a black and white
or colour document int o a Media Card. Black and white images
will be in TIFF file format and colour images may be in PDF or
JPEG file fo rmat.
Search An electr onic, alphabetical listi ng of stored Speed-Dial and
Group numbers.
Speed-Dial A pre-programmed number for easy dialling. You must
press the Search/Speed Dial key and then #, and the two digit
code to start the diall ing process.
Standard resolution 203 x 97 dpi. It is used for reg ular size text
and quickest transmission.
Station ID The stored informatio n that appears on the top of faxed
pages. It includ es the sender’s name and fax number.
Super Fine resolution 392 x 203 dpi. Best for very small print an d
line art.
TAD (telephone answering device) You can connect an ex ternal
device or answering machine to the EXT. socket of the machine.
Temporary settings You can select certain options for each fax
transmission and cop y without changing the default set tings.
Tone A form of dialling on the telephone line used for Touch Tone
telephones.
Transmission The process of sending faxes over the phone lines
from your machine to th e receiving fax machine.
Colour Enhancement (MFC-3820CN only) Adjusts the colour in
the image for better pri nt quality by improving sharpness , white
balance and colour dens ity.
Xmit Report (Transmission Verification Report) A listing for
each transmission, that shows its date, time and number.
