Setting Fax Storage
If you set Fax Storage to ON, you will be able to retrieve fax
messages from another location using Fax Forwarding or Rem ote
Retrieval operations . (See Remote commands on page 8-5.) If there
is paper in your machine, a back-up cop y of each fax will be pri nted.
The LCD will show when yo u have a fax stored in memory.

Press Menu/Set, 2, 5, 2.
The LCD will ask you to choose a
fax setting.

Press or to select
On (or Off).
Press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
If you press 1, all fax data i s erased and Fax Storage is turned off.
If you press 2, faxes are not erased and Fax Storage stays on.

Backup Print

If you’ve se t Fax Storage to On, your machine automatically prints
faxes as they are rece ived into the memory.
This is a safety feat ure in case the power goes off so you won’t lose
your messages.
If there are faxes in the memory
when you turn Fax Storage OFF,
the LCD will ask if you want to erase
the faxes in the memory.
■After you have selected the Fax Forwarding feature, Fax
Storage is set to On automatically. If you turn the Fax
Forwarding feature ba ck to Off, Fax Storage stays on.
