100Installing Metro Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 modules and connecting equipment

When the image is loaded successfully onto the 8683POSM module, the screen displays the following message:

POS card in slot <number> is online.

If you accidentally delete the image ﬁle, reset the CPU module and download the ﬁle again. For information about how to reset the CPU module, see Nortel Metro Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 Installation — Chassis Installation and Maintenance (NN46220-305).

If you have one MDA installed, you can proceed to conﬁgure the 8683POSM module as described in Using the 8683POSM Module (209564-C).

You must save your conﬁguration using either the CLI or Device Manager to preserve the conﬁguration changes you made to the 8683POSM module across reboots.
