6.10 Junk fax prohibitor (preventing fax reception from undesired callers)

If you subscribe to Caller ID service (page 53), this

feature prevents fax reception from calls that do not

show caller information.

Additionally, the unit will not accept faxes originating

from numbers that match the ones on a programmable

junk fax prohibitor list.

LMake sure that the {Fax} light is ON.

Important:

LThis feature does not work if you receive faxes

manually.

6.10.1 Activating the junk fax prohibitor

1{Advance}

2Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk Fax

Prohibitor”. i {Set}

3Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select

“Prohibitor”.

4Press {<} or {>} repeatedly to select “On”. i

{Set}

5Press {Advance} to exit.

6.10.2 Storing undesired callers

You can register up to 20 undesired numbers from the

Caller ID list (page 53) if you do not wish to receive faxes

from them.

2Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk Fax

Prohibitor”. i {Set}

3Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk List

Set”. i {Set}

4Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to display the party you

do not want to receive faxes from. i {Set}

LIf you have programmed the wrong item, press

{Set} again to remove “,” and cancel the item.

To display the junk fax prohibitor list

1. {Advance}

2. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk Fax

Prohibitor”. i {Set}

3. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk List

Display”. i {Set}

4. Press {V} or {^} to display the items on the list.

5. Press {Advance} to exit.

To print the junk fax prohibitor list

1. {Advance}

2. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk Fax

Prohibitor”. i {Set}

3. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk List

Print”. i {Set}

4. Press {Advance} to exit.

To erase an item from the junk fax prohibitor list

1. {Advance}

2. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk Fax

Prohibitor”. i {Set}

3. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select “Junk List

Display”. i {Set}

4. Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select the desired

item. i {#}

LTo cancel erasing, press {Stop}, then press

{Advance}.
