To use thin paper, change the recording paper
type setting (feature #383 on page 58).
Important:
LBefore starting installation of the optional input
tray, be sure to turn the power switch OFF. For
more details about the installation, please refer
to the installation guide for the optional input
tray.
LAfter installation, you can select the optional
input tray to be used for the following:
Paper input tray setting for faxing (feature
#440 on page 62).
Paper input tray setting for copying (feature
#460 on page 64).
Paper input tray in PCL (feature #760 on page
65).
Paper input tray setting for the scan to e-mail
print feature (feature #565 on page 71).
LTo use the optional input tray with your
computer, you need to change the printer
properties. See page 80 for details.
Caution for the optional input tray
LDo not drop the optional input tray.
LHold the optional input tray with both hands
when removing or installing. The optional input
tray weighs approximately 4.8kg (10.6 lb) when
the recording paper is fully installed.
Do not touch the plate (1) on the left side of the
optional input tray.
LDo not position the unit in a location where it is
unstable or subject to vibrations. The unit weighs
approximately 40kg (88 lb) when the optional input
tray is installed and the recording pa per is fully
installed.
