When the Auto Probing function is set to OFF, the following message appears:

To temporarily turn Auto Probe OFF, turn the key switch to the unlocked position and press the Escape button.

Note: It takes approximately two minutes to probe a 50-disc magazine.

5.2.3.3Free Message

Setting the Free Message mode ON allows messages from the host computer to over-write messages shown in the LCD window. It is also possible to display other information such as the name of the Changer Controller program and warning messages regarding discs being rewritten.

For example, when the host computer issues commands to add or remove discs, prompting directions appear on the LCD display. If using the mail slot to insert or remove a disc (with the Auto Eject submode turned OFF), the following message appears:

While this information from the host computer displays in the LCD display, no other messages can appear unless the Free Message mode is ON.

To turn OFF the Free Message function, follow the steps below.
