To exit this mode without inserting a hyper magazine, press the Escape key three times to return to the User mode.

To replace a hyper magazine, eject the current hyper magazine according to the preceding instructions then partially insert the new hyper magazine. The changer automatically senses and draws in the magazine. Never force a magazine into a bay. The following message appears on the LCD display when a hyper magazine is inserted properly.

When a hyper magazine is loaded, a unique ID and a log of the magazine’s locking mechanism usage appears on the LCD display.

If the usage log is empty, the following message appears:

If the usage log includes data, the following message appears:

U n c e r t a i n – s t a t e

I D # * * * * * * * * * * * *

The magazine is automatically ejected if the Changer is unable to read the ID. Reinsert the magazine to attempt to read the ID again.

5.2.7Probe Submode

The Probe submode checks for discs within slots when a magazine is loaded while outside of the Changer. Usually the controller software performs this task but if the changer is not connected to a host computer, this submode issues a check for discs within a magazine’s slots. Use the Probe submode if the controller program fails to offer this option.
