DRM-7000Operating Instructions

5.0Operation

The DRM-7000 supports two modes, User and System Administrator. Separating the operations into two modes prevents interference, conflicts, or clashes from occurring between commands issued from the host computer and commands entered at the Changer’s Control Panel.

5.1User Mode

Upon installation, the Changer enters the User Mode. This mode allows the Changer’s controller software or database management software on the host computer to run the unit. When operating in the User Mode, the Changer flashes a series of messages shown below.

When in the User Mode, the Changer responds to commands issued from the host computer.

5.2System Administrator Mode

Issuing commands from the Changer’s Control Panel is restricted to System Administrators with the panel keys. To switch the System Administrator Mode, follow the steps below.

1.Insert the key into the key switch located on the control panel.

2.Rotate the key 90 degrees to the unlocked position.

3.Press the Function button to enter the System Administrator Mode.
