Q:I drive by patrol cars but do not hear alarms?
A:Make sure you are scanning in Highway Mode. Check your antenna connections. In some cases, the alarm might not go off depending on the proximity of the patrol car to your vehicle. A:Make sure the AC adapter is securely connected. If you are using an AC adapter and the wall socket it is plugged into is controlled by a wall switch, make sure the wall switch is turned on. Q:My scanner is not receiving weather channels. How do I set it so I can receive weather channels?
A:The scanner might be set to weather alert mode. If this happens, it cannot receive weather channels until it receives a weather alert. To hear a weather channel at any time, make sure weather alert is turned off. See “NWR SAME” for more information.
