❒The scanner operates according to the scanner driver settings, but some scanner driv- ers do not support all of the scanner functions. In such a case, the unsupported func- tions are not available for use.
In addition, the names used in this manual for certain functions may differ from the names used by the scanner driver. For details, refer to the scanner driver manual.
Preview
This function scans the entire scanning area at low resolution (100dpi*). The preview image can then be viewed while setting the scanning area for the final scan. The preview function can also be used to get a quick view of the scannable area.
*“dpi” is an abbreviation for “dots per inch,” and indicates resolution. A larger value indicates greater detail.
