(8)Gateway
Set up the Gateway Address assigned by the network manager.
(9)DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
DHCP is protocol, which automatically assigns IP address in network environment. Those network environments automatically assigned with IP Address are as follows.
●Set DHCP "Yes" at Ethernet, which uses DHCP Sever.
●Also set DHCP "Yes" at Cable Network.
DHCP must be "NO" in the network environment besides the above two cases.
Click "Advanced" to notify the Dynamic IP address through mail or to register with separate DB server. Refer to the "Appendix" for the further information.
Caution | If DHCP is set to "Yes" in the network environment, in which you manually |
| receive the IP address from the network manager, the |
| be unsatisfactory during power on/off. Or, if DHCP is set to be "No" in the |
| network environment, which automatically assigns IP address to users, such |
| as Cable Network, the IP address may not be assigned to your terminal during |
| power on/off. When these do happen, please refer to FAQ section. |
(10)Please, set up DHCP to appropriate network environment, when you want to change your network. Then, turn the power off and connect to the network.
●Change DHCP "No" to "Yes" when you change Ethernet (manually assigned IP environment) to Cable Network Ethernet (dynamically assigned IP Network environment).
●Change DHCP "Yes" to "No" when you change Cable Network, Ethernet (dynamically assigned IP Network environment) to Ethernet (manually assigned IP environment).
Note | The basic form of internet address is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and xxx is a number |
