68 Section 2B: Controlling Your Phone’s Settings

Location Settings

Your SprintPCS Vision Phone is equipped with a Location

feature for use in connection with location-based services

thatmay be available in the future.

The Location feature allows the network to detectyour

position. Turning Location off will hide your location from

everyone except911.

Note:Even if the Location feature is enabled, no service may use your

location withoutyour express permission.

To turn your phone’s Location feature on or off:

1. Press to access the main menu.

2. SelectSettings and press .

3. SelectLocation and press . (You will see a message on

the display.)

4. Press or OK(leftsoftkey) to continue.

䡲Press the navigation key down to read the whole

message.

5. SelectOn or Offand press .

When the Location feature is on, your phone’s standby screen

will display the icon. When Location is turned off, the

icon will display.
