Understanding RoamingRecognizing the Roaming Icon on the Display Screen
Your phone’s display screen always lets you know when you’re
off the Nationwide SprintPCS Network. Any time you are
roaming, the phone displays the roaming icon ( ). If you are
roaming on a digital system, the roaming icon will display
along with the textDigital Roam, and on an analog system,
with the textAnalog Roam.
Tip:Remember, when you are using your phone off the Nationwide
SprintPCS Network, always dial numbers using 11 digits (1 + area code +
number).
Note:Unless your SprintPCS Service Plan includes roaming, you will pay a
higher per-minute rate for roaming calls.
Roaming on Other Digital Networks
When you’re roaming on digital networks, your call quality
and security will be similar to the quality you receive when
making calls on the Nationwide SprintPCS Network.
However, you may notbe able to access certain features, such
as SprintPCS Vision.
Note:SprintPCS Ready Link Service is not available in roaming areas.
Roaming on Analog Networks
When you roam on analog networks, you will experience a
similar quality provided by other analog carriers today.
Although some features, such as SprintPCS Vision, SprintPCS
Ready Link, and SprintPCS Voice Command, will be
unavailable, you can still make and receive calls and access
