Dolby NR indicator

Normal playback

1 Press the TAPE button.

The power will be turned on automatically, and the unit will enter the TAPE mode.

2 Open the cassette door by pushing the area marked "PUSH OPEN". 3 Load the cassette into the cassette compartment.

4 Press the REVERSE MODE button.

... To listen to one side of the tape.

... To listen to both sides of the tape.

... For endless repeat play of both sides of the tape.

5 Select the Dolby Noise Reduction (NR) mode by pressing the DOLBY NR but- ton.

When a tape recorded with the Dolby NR system is used, turn on the Dolby NR indicator.

When a tape not recorded with the Dolby NR system is used, turn off the Dolby NR indicator.

6 Press the 0 button to listen to side A (1), or the 1 button for side B (2).

To play both sides of the tape ( ■Normal playbackManual background), start from side A (1). When the tape starts playback from side B (2), side A (1) will not be played after side B (2) finishes.

To stop playback:

Press the TAPE button.

To fast-wind the tape onto the left reel:

Press the 3 button when the tape is stopped.

To fast-wind the tape onto the right reel:

Press the 2 button when the tape is stopped.

Listening to the reverse side during playback:

Press the 1 or 0 button during playback.

Direct play:

If a tape is already loaded, when you press the 1 or 0 button, the power will be turned on automatically, and playback of the tape will start.

To restart the track being played from the beginning:

Press the 3 or 2 button during playback.

To listen to the next track:

Press the 3 or 2 button during playback.

Precautions:

When removing the cassette tape, press the TAPE button, and then open the cassette compartment.

Before changing from one tape operation to another, press the TAPE button.

If a power failure occurs during tape operation, the tape head will remain engaged with the tape and the cassette door will not open. If this occurs, wait until power is restored.
