■APMS recording
1 Select tracks for APMS playback. (Page 23. Steps 1 - 6.) 2 Load a blank cassette into the cassette compartment.
3 Press the REVERSE MODE button.
... To record on only one side.
... To record on both sides.
4 Select the Dolby NR mode by pressing the DOLBY NR button.
●When recording with the Dolby NR system, turn on the indicator.
●When not recording with the Dolby NR system, turn off the indicator.
5 Recording from a CD:
Press the CD 0 TAPE button.
Recording from a MiniDisc:
Press the MD 0 TAPE button.
●Programmed tracks will be recorded in order. After the unit has finished recording the last track, recording will stop automatically.
■Recording from the built-in radio to a cassette tape
1 Tune in to the desired station. (Pages 12 - 13.)
2 Load a blank cassette into the cassette compartment.
●Wind past the tape leader which cannot be recorded on.
3 Press the REVERSE MODE button.
... To record on only one side.
... To record on both sides.
4 Select the Dolby NR mode by pressing the DOLBY NR button.
●When recording with the Dolby NR system, turn on the indicator.
●When not recording with the Dolby NR system, turn off the indicator.
5 Press the TAPE ● 6 button.
●" " will flash.
6 Press the 0 button to record side A (1), or the 1 button to record side B (2).
●To record on both sides, begin on side A (1).
When recording is finished on side A (1), the tape will switch over to side B (2) automatically.
Beat cancel switch (on the rear panel)
If a whistling noise occurs when recording from an AM station, set the BEAT CANCEL switch to A or B, whichever gives the best reception.
To stop recording:
Press the TAPE ■ button.
To interrupt recording:
Press the TAPE ● 6 button.
Press the TAPE 0 button or TAPE 1 button again to resume recording.
