HTimer recording

Before timer recording, the following preparations are required.
IMake sure that the clock setting is correct. (Page 8)
ILoad a recordable MD.
IPreset the radio station. (Page 12)

Programming for timer recording:

1While in the stop mode, press the TIMER/DELETE button, and then the
or button so that the TIMER SET display appears.
2Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button, and then select the timer
mode using the or button.
3Press the ENTER button.
IThe start time setting display will appear.
4Enter the hour for the start time using the 1 or 0 button. Then, press
the ENTER button.
5Enter the minute using the 1 or 0 button. Then, press the ENTER
button.
IThe stop time setting display will appear.
IThe display time will increase by one hour automatically.
6Enter the hour for the stop time using the 1 or 0 button. Then, press
the ENTER button.
7Enter the minute using the 1 or 0 button. Then, press the ENTER
button.
IThe start and stop times are now set.
8Select the source program using the 1 or 0 button.
IThe source is selected in the following sequence:
TUNER AUX DIGITAL1 DIGITAL2 PHONO
IIf TUNER is selected, press the ENTER button, and then select the
preset number using the 1 or 0 button.
9Press the ENTER button.

Adjust the volume level using the 1 or 0 button.

Press the ENTER button.
ITimer recording setting is complete.
Note:
IIf you do not perform the next operation within 10 seconds, the operation
will be canceled. If this happens, try the operation agein from the
beginning.

Setting timer recording:

1Press the TIMER/DELETE button.
IPress the or button so that the T-STANDBY display appears.
2Press the ENTER button.
IThe settings will appear in order, and the unit will enter the timer
recording standby mode. (If the power is on, the unit will be turned off.)
3When the timer recording start time is reached, the power will be turned
on to start recording.
When the timer recording stop time is reached, the power will be turned
off automatically.

Notes:
IYou cannot make a timer recording using CDs.
IThe timer recording with this unit cannot be used to control
equipment connected to this unit. You must use the timer of the
other equipment, if it has one.
IThe timer playback and timer recording functions cannot be used
at the same time.
In the following cases, the timer recording function will not work.
IWhen a MiniDisc has not been inserted.
IWhen a playback-only MiniDisc is inserted.
IWhen the MiniDisc you inserted is protected against accidental
erasure.
IWhen there is no recording space left on the MiniDisc you have
inserted .(when the "TOC FULL" or "DISC FULL" messages ap-
pear)
