Inserting a bobbin

To insert a bobbin, follow the instructions below:

Raise presser foot.

Turn hand wheel toward you until needle is in its highest position.

Open slide plate and remove empty bobbin.

1.Pull 4” (10 cm) of thread from replacement bobbin and insert bobbin into case, as shown.

2.Holding bobbin in place, guide thread into notch (1) and then down the slot to the left and guide around into notch (2).

3.Draw several inches of thread diagonally across the bobbin toward the back of the machine.

4.While holding thread on outside, close the slide plate, allowing thread to extend through the slot between the slide plate and needle plate.

Follow directions for “Raising Bobbin Thread” on page 26.

Colocación de la bobina

Para colocar la bobina, siga las siguientes instrucciones:

Suba el prensatelas.

Gire el volante hacia Vd. hasta que la aguja se halle en su posición más elevada.

Abra la plancha corredera y retire la bobina vacia.

1. Tire 10 cm. de hilo de la bobina de recambio e insértela en su alojamiento como se muestra.

2.Sujetando la bobina, guíe el hilo por la rendija

(1)y posteriormente por la abertura de la izquierda, guiándolo a la abertura (2).

3.Tire de algunos cm. de hilo diagonalmente a través de la bobina hacia la parte posterior de la máquina.

4.Sujetando el hilo por fuera, cierre la plancha corredera, permitiendo que el hilo salga entre la rendija de la plancha corredera y la plancha de aguja.

Étape 3

Relevez l'aiguille.

Tournez le sélecteur de longueur pour amener le symbole (3) face au point (•).

Brodez la deuxième lèvre (5).

Étape 4

Relevez l'aiguille.

Tournez le sélecteur de longueur pour amener le symbole (4) face au point.

Brodez le point d'arrêt (6).

Relevez le pied presseur. Retirez l'ouvrage de la machine.

Arrêtez les fils.

Avec précaution, coupez entre les deux lèvres de la boutonnière à l'aide de ciseaux fins ou d'un découseur.

Equilibrage de la boutonnière

Dans certains tissus, il peut apparaître une différence de densité de point entre la lèvre gauche et la lèvre droite de la boutonnière.

Cette différence peut être aisément corrigée en tournant le bouton (1) situé au centre du sélecteur de largeur de point.

Un déplacement, même très faible de ce bouton modifie la densité.

Si les points de la lèvre droite ( I ) sont trop ouverts, tournez le bouton poussoir vers la droite jusq'à ce que la densité des points augmente.

Si les points de la lèvre gauche ( II ) sont trop ouverts, tournez le bouton poussoir vers la gauche jusq'à ce que la densité des points augmente.

Après avoir toutes les boutonnières, remettez dans sa position centrale le bouton poussoir qui vous a servi à équilibrer les lèvres des boutonnières.
