Slant overedge stitch

Seams in knitted and stretch fabrics can be joined and finished in one operation when you use the slant overedge stitch.

Baste the garment together on the seam line allowing for a 5/8” seam allowance and fit in the usual way.

After making any adjustments, trim the seam edge evenly to a 1/4” from the seam line basting.

Place trimmed seam under the foot so that the straight stitches fall on the basted seam line and zig-zag stitches fall over the seam edge.

Antes de hacer cualquier ajuste, corte los bordes de costura por igual a 6mm (1/4”) de la línea de costura hilvanada.

Coloque la costura ya recortada debajo del prensatelas de manera que los puntos rectos caigan sobre la línea de costura hilvanada y los puntos en zig-zag caigan sobre el borde de la costura.

Sélecteur de largeur de point

Avant de bouger le sélecteur pour positionner votre machine sur le point droit, tournez le volant pour faire remonter l’aiguille.

machine doit être sur la position ( ) pour obtenir le point droit (quelle que soit la position du sélecteur de point).

Sélecteur de position d’aiguille

Ce sélecteur vous donne la possibilité de déplacer l’aiguille à gauche ( ), à droite ( ),

ou en position centrale ( ) .

Sélecteur de longueur de point

Ce sélecteur est numéroté de 0 à 5. Plus le numéro est petit plus le point sera court. Les points courts sont recommandés pour les tissus fins, les points longs pour les tissus épais. Pour sélectionner la longueur de point, tournez le disque pour amener le chiffre désiré face au

point ( ).

Pour un point court, tournez le disque vers les petits chiffres.

Pour un point long, tournez le disque vers les grands chiffres.

Marche Arrière

La touche ( ) au centre du sélecteur de longueur de point permet de coudre en marche arrière.

Pour arrêter les coutures, appuyez sur le bouton. Tant que vous le maintiendrez en place, la machine coudra en marche arrière.
