Removing an old server

5The component selection window displays with everything selected. Deselect components by clicking the check box and erasing the check mark. Click Next to continue.

Note If there is SySAM Network License Server installed on this machine, it may be used by other Sybase products. Uncheck this component unless you know no one is using this License Server.

6A summary window displays what is about to be uninstalled. Click Next to continue.

7A window displays indicating that the uninstallation process is being performed. There is no progress bar.

Note One or more pop-up displays may occur indicating that a file was modified after it was installed and requesting confirmation that it should be deleted.

8If there are any user created files left over from the uninstall, the uninstaller will prompt user if it can remove them.

9When the uninstall process has completed a final window displays. Click Finish to exit the uninstall program.

On Windows, there are also a small number of registry entries that are not removed by the uninstall program. These are documented below:

•Remove the DSLISTEN and DSQUERY environment variables, using the system option from the Control Panel.

Removing an old server

1Stop the server.

2Restart the machine to release any DLLs.

3From the Windows Task bar, select Start Programs Sybase Server Config. The Configure Sybase Server window displays.

4From the icons on the left of the Configure Sybase Servers screen, select the type of Sybase server to remove.
