5.3.2 Expressions

Overview Expressions are used in rules for source and destination interface, source and destination IP address(es) (ranges) and services.

The Expressions page consists of three sections: Interface

IP Service

Expressions are also used by the SpeedTouch™ Stateful Inspection Firewall.

Interface The Interface section bundles all expressions that express a relation based on

Interfaces.

The Expressions table provides following information per expression:

 

 

The Name of the expression

 

 

 

A Summary of the expression’s configuration

Adding an interface To add a new interface related expression:

Click New.

In the Interface Expressions Properties table:

 

 

 

Type a Name for the expression.

 

 

 

Select the Interface group the expression should relate to. For negative

 

 

logic, select Not.

 

 

 

Select the interface the expression should relate to. An interface is the

 

 

connection between the SpeedTouch™ and one of his attached networks.

 

 

For negative logic, select Not.

Click Apply.
