When you use the self-timer, a shot will be taken automatically after a set delay (10 seconds or 2 seconds). This setting reverts to off when you turn the camera off or the Auto power off function is activated.

POINT

Using the [2 SEC.] self-timer delay is an effective way to avoid camera shake when you are shooting still images.

In self-timer shooting, when you press the REC button or REC button, a timer on the screen starts counting down and the front LED starts flashing. Once the selected delay (10 seconds or 2 seconds) has elapsed, the camera starts shooting or takes the picture.

The self-timer can also be used in continuous recording and AEB. With the self-

timer, the number of continuous recordings taken is 3.

See “Continuous Recording” p.76.

You can take as many shots as you like with the same self-timer delay until you either change the self-timer delay setting or turn the camera off.
